Can anyone tell me how Dragcave works? I know you need a certain amount of clicks to get them to hatch, but I've seen some that take 500+ click to hatch, and some that only have 30 clicks and are adults. Remember, your information could turn into something useful for not only Dragcave members, but for you as well Wink

HI Wink I'll try to explain that Wink Some things I'll copy from the DC FAQ because there it's really good explained.

Views: Every time the image of the egg is loaded a view is added.
Unique Views: Similar to views, but only one unique view is registered per IP.
Clicks:
Only one click is registered per IP, they are registered when someone
clicks the provided link and views your egg's page.

You don't need any clicks to hatch your eggs/hatchlings - they help but are not needed, I've seen hatchlings grow up with only a few clicks.

What you need are views and unique views - for example 1500 views / 750 unique views / 100 clicks is a good ratio.

If you get more clicks than unique views your hatchling will get sick.
If you get a ratio of 48/21/49 for example your hatchling will get sick because you got too many views too fast.

The best way to hatch your eggs/hatchlings is to put them on a DC fansite - I prefer The DC Fansite OR Soti-Dragon's, both are good pages to hatch your babies in a save way. But put them on only one page to prevent them from getting sick. From my experience none of my hatchlings ever got sick on those pages - all you need is patience Wink

If your Scrollname is Killgore - your hatchlings are finde for the moment, but I think they might get sick because they got too many views and not enough unique views. Try to put them on one of the Fansites and nowhere else and they will be fine.

Thank you very much for your input, Karu. The information you provided has tremendously helped me come to understand Dragcave better. If anyone else has something to add that may have been forgotten, please feel free to post it! Otherwise, check up on the Forum and Site Updates often!

Very Happy I'm glad that I could help.

When I first joined DC my first egg died because I didn't know anything and I decided: bäh - stupid game...... bur after two months I tried again and found myself someone who explained everything to me: where to put eggs/hatchlings to hatch, what to do if they get sick, how to see if the egg is dying or cracking and so on - with some little things to konw DC is very easy.

@Killgore:

Your hatchlings are sick!!!! Please fog them for min. 24hours or they might die!!!

Do "fog" them use: Actions -> Hide
